Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Systems Analyst on a maximum term, full-time period until 24 December 2027.

This role sits in the Business Improvement directorate and supports the improvement of all corporate business systems, with a focus on TechnologyOne ERP solution.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Work with stakeholders to formulate, define and document solutions to enhance corporate systems, using best-practice methodologies and pre-configured ERP solutions.
  • Review business requirements and deliver functional specifications, including hierarchy, business rules/workflow, interface implications, outstanding issues, data analysis, and relationships.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can assist or enhance organisational business services, actively reviewing current systems, business processes, and workflows.
  • Oversee the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the CIty's ERP system, ensuring optimal performance, qualify and data integrity. 
  • Analyse and optimise asset management processes to align with organisational goals.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials specific to the ERP.
  • Undertake change management tasks/issues for all systems, ensuring effective communication and implementation to the user base.
  • Perform system testing for enhancements/upgrades and assist users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and deliver high-quality test scenarios and test plans.
  • Conduct initial process testing of core application changes using appropriate testing policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards.
  • Deliver training assistance to key users for new or improved functionality and provide ad-hoc one-on-one support as required.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct user application training sessions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain system and user documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, and technical guides for information systems staff, developers, administrators, and end-users.
  • Assist and support users in developing and maintaining business-specific process documentation.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant tertiary qualification/industry accreditation or extensive relevant experience.
  • Proficient in detailed business analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to guide users in system usage.
  • Substantial knowledge in data structures, technical relationships, and reporting requirements.
  • High level skills in project management methodologies, techniques and practices.
  • Substantial experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting ERP solutions.
  • Extensive experience in implementing modules in a Local Government system, preferably TechnologyOne preferrably in property and rating. 
  • Extensive experience working with business stakeholders producing business process workflows.
  • Experience translating business requirements into effective solution designs.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with external vendors, consultants and other contractors

Salary Package

In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement 2025, this position is classified as a Level 8. The salary range is $122,200.00 to $130,520.00 per annum pro rata, exclusive of superannuation.
