A fantastic opportunity has become available in our Finance Services team on a permanent full time basis for a Coordinator Revenue Services
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate revenue collection, property and rates according to statutory requirements and balance the ledger monthly.
- Coordinate provision of information and advice pertaining to revenue, property and rates enquiries and returns.
- Oversee the fees and charges schedule and work collaboratively with the Finance team and relevant branches in reviewing, coordinating and administering fees and charges.
- Coordinate processing and reconciliation of interim rates, levies and triennial re-evaluations based on Valuer General’s Office (VGO) advice.
- Prepare rates modelling for the annual budget process and provide estimations for the Strategic Financial Plan.
- Oversee authorisation and processing of concessions, rebates and refunds.
- Evaluate rate exemption applications, providing determination recommendations to delegated officers.
- Develop and implement collection procedures for outstanding rates, charges, and sundry debts.
- Oversee calculation and production of sundry debtors’ invoices, statements, final notices, credit notes, grant and lease schedules and the reinstatement process.
- Oversee balancing of debtors
- Maintain electoral roll and other related electoral duties.
- Oversee and administer processes for the maintenance of rates, property, names, debtor and creditor master files.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards and internal policies.
- Support annual external audits and finance related internal audits and implement audit recommendations and findings.
- Proactively assess financial management risks, recommend mitigations and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement controls.
- Ensure revenue compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards and internal policies.

- Ensure revenue and rating systems and processes comply with statutory requirements, and best practice financial management principles.
- Review, develop, and improve systems, policies, procedures and work practices to improve efficiency, service delivery and data quality.
- Lead the team to deliver excellent organisational customer services and support
- Provide team direction for optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and prioritise selection projects and initiatives, with accountability for outcomes.
- Promote a culture of excellent internal customer service and continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Business, Management or related discipline and/or extensive experience in a related role.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team, providing excellent customer service, focused on continual improvement.
- High level organisational ability planning, prioritising and achieving outcomes to deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain new systems, strategies and procedures
- Experience in rating and debtors’ information management and service delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of Local Govt Act, Rates and Charges (Rebate and Deferment) Act, and Valuation of Land Act.
- Well-developed ability using corporate computer systems.
- Federal Police Clearance not more than 6 months old at engagement.

Salary Package:
In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement 2025, this position is classified as a Level 8. The salary range is $122,200.00 to $130,520.00 per annum, exclusive of superannuation
